Well, kinda.

I was getting tired of working on a filthy dusty car, and the garage floor needed a good scrubbing...

So, she got rolled out into the sunlight and washed.

New weatherstrip seems to have held up, no leaks.

Anyhow, here she is:

It is always nice to see a piece of history in good hands so that it can be admired by other generations down the road, she is off to a great start

NO WAY!

I smoothed my bumpers, welded the holes... They'll look like the JDM "blade" bumpers once they're chromed.

Color is from a.... Get this....... Honda Odyssey.

Sorry Greg, no bumpers always wins.

That's looking great though, makes me cry even harder about our S30 project, posting a thread on it right now. Most rotted car I've ever worked on.

the color is pretty close to the stock blue on the 280's, I gotta say it's a shame to have paint so nice on the outside an a black engine bay why not paint the engine bay as well? the engine is already out, there isn't mush else to remove

Thought about it, just got buried in paint / body.

That car, believe it or not, has 100+ hours in body work and about $2K in paint... and it's STILL not "perfect" by far.

I really like that color. It does look a lot like the original color on my S130. I think it's either 510 - Sky Blue Metallic or 307 - Pacific Blue Metallic just by looking at it where the crappy paint job it got in the 90's has chipped off. Definitely making me lean more towards repainting it the original color rather than something else.

Thanks brotha!

I think at this point, all I need is the outer trim on the door where the glass goes down, a passenger side door lock rod, a passenger side window regulator, brake hoses, and some trim for the interior (hatch area).

Nope - and they'll have no rubber on the outside either, just smooth metal blades.
