well ive had my car offically for a year now. i bought it back on novemeber 2nd 2005 in laguna beach california for $2700. this year i was able to save up a little money and start working on my car. i paid for the car fully by myself and i am paying for all parts by myself so it is taking awhile. there are only 3 people working on my car at this time. its me jdm_master_x and mrzabala. we do what we can with the time we have. all three of us have our projects going at once so it takes us some time to get stuff done. well anyways now i have time to make a post so here starts the project.

this is how the car started a 92 240sx se with leather le seats. oem silvia front end. Q's bumper and 280z rims. not to fancy when first bought but still a lil done to it. i thought it would be a pretty good base to start off with.

later that year i finally got tired of the whole 5 tone sileighty and opted to rattle can the front end. i didnt think it looked that bad and then at least i dont get the stupid people around town complaing that my car was worthless and a "scraper" cause it was 5 colors anyways....

next bunch of money came and we got some q45 brakes from a junk yard . didnt cost that much and i got to say it was well worth it. i love these brakes i think everyone should do it. i like em better then z32 brakes but maybe thats just me idk.

new rotor vs old rotors. as can see q45 was way bigger but was 5 lug. we just drilled for 4 lug and resurfaced the rotors. alot bigger in front. and drilling wasnt that hard. we didnt even use a drill press.

a friend of mine donated a after market front bumper to me so that was also primered and thrown on. he gave me a gtr grill too its in the picture just not painted yet. hey i can never pass on free parts thanks marcus(not on the forum but just bought a coupe)

he also gave me some widened fenders. pretty cool cant complain when its free.

*UPDATE* we finally finished striping down the car of everything in the world.we rand out of dry ice so we used a blow tourch to get the rest of it off. it was kinda easier that way but it did leave some tar left. but a little sand paper got the rest off.

then we used this super thick primer, yea i know its orange, kinda like a rust color(well thats what the can said) but it was think and it only needed one coat. we brushed it on instead of rattle caning it. i think it came out a lot nicer this way. then came the bed lining. it was super easy only took a couple of minutes to put on but it will take a couple of days to dry. but well worth it in my opinion. now our 3 of our cars our bed lined. only one is working right now but they are all almost there.!!!!!finished pictures of the interior will be up probrobly next week

so thats it for the project right now. i still need to find side skirts and a rear bumper let me know if u guys have one. plans for the near future include bed lining the inside of my car, with jdm_master_x and mrzabala. kouki lights and paint. that what i plan to finish this year. next year has more to come only time will tell... maybe blacktop sr maybe kat havent decided yet. but ill keep u posted

Can you take a pic of the front brakes when its light? Like a nice wheel shot. Ive been considering the Q45 brakes ove the Z's.. Seems like they might be a better choice for a a daily driver. looks good man

Looking good man, makes me jealous. I'm undergoing a sil-eighty project my self. I just got my hands on some silvia headlights and when I got home found that the plastic housing where it mounts to the headlight bracket is completely broken off. Sigh, this thing is worthless now.

I thought about doing that but I want mine to be bolted up right. Don't like my headlights flopping around and misaligned. I'll just get another set.
