So we decided were going to delete everything from the intake manifold to get the nice clean look and also just to get rid of some of the unnecessary emission systems.. Deleting the EGR system and all coolant lines going to the throttle body, we'll also be deleting the PCV lines on the Mani and will be running an oil catch can.

I dropped off the Mani at our local machine shop friday to plug the EGR hole, and press out the four pcv fittings and plug those as well.. He's gonna try to clean all that carbon out for me too.. I should get it back by wed. or so.. I'll post pics when I get it back!

well.. I don't have one yet I might just get an Egay one, slap it on and blow up the transmission Cause I'm gonna swap in a 5speed as soon as I can find someone who has EVERYTHING I need for it.. The motor has awesome compression numbers.. 195, 200, 195, 200.. so I'm not gonna mess with the internals just yet.. and we are still trying to debate already getting another KA with wiring harness, put it on an engine stand and work on wiring up an OBD1 honda computer.. figure something out for timing, run map instead of maf then tunning is all in our finger tips

As much as I dislike Honda, I'm very interested in your plans to merge the two. It would definitely be awesome to be able to tune that way.Good luck and keep us posted

I will.. our biggest obstacle is custom making a distributor, we've pretty much got everything else figured out.. I'm not big into honda either, but I am big on the idea that I can tune em in my garage with a lap top in a matter of minutes

I have, but I think I'm gonna do the 5 speed swap first.. and the funds (or lack thereof) won't allow to do both at the same time..

All these hoses feed coolant through the throttle body to warm up the air.. it's all for emissions purposes.. the tiny metal lines are for the EGR system.. also related to emissions thats not needed.. which is why I'm by-passing it all.. as for your leak.. You'll just have to find which one it is and repair it, or you could just take it all out like me!!

I took off all those funky lines that run around the intake manifold. And the ones that heat/warm the throttle body.... I used those for the turbo coolant lines since I have a ball bearing turbo.

But yeah, just yank them off. I think you only need like one of them, and I'm not sure if it's pictured. It's the one that goes to the idle air control or something like that. It doesn't plumb water, just air.

The only lines you'll have to plug up, are the ones that go to the throttle body to heat it. Or you can run them to your turbo if it has coolant ports. That's what I did. Here's a pic I snagged from the FAQ's at the top of the page. The big metal one that breaks into another one and goes to that sensor, isn't any of the coolant or vacuum lines. It's the IAC, and the A/C vavle gimmicks. They require to be hooked up to the intake/charge piping before the throttle body on the cold pipe preferably. Someone correct me if I"m wrong.
