So I just picked up a half running 90 240sx. We have what's called "Pull-a-parts" in Ga, and you can go in find your car and start yanking anything you might need off of it for a small price. Well I like to go on Sundays, and the 1st thing I see when I walk in is a 90 240sx, Now sometimes if you know the right people they will sell you the whole car. I just happened to know the owner from coming in every Sunday. Talked to him about found out it was junked for a blown head gasket and not much else. He gave me the keys to go look at it. It cranked right up, with alot of smoke coming out of the rear end of course, but ran well all the same. I went to pop the hood and expected to see a ka24e, but got a nice little surprise it had already gotten a ka24de swap with a good 5 speed trans. So I talked to the guy about price for about half a hour and talked him down to 300 bucks. Got it towed back to the house and now I have my project car sitting there waiting and wanting some new upgrades. I guess I'm just here for some advice on where to go from here. I have 94 240sx vert for my DD, So I really kind of want to go all out with this hatchback. I was thinking sr20 with some mild power maybe 350hp. A nice set of coilovers, gut the inside for weight and maybe a roll cage. Just to have a drift beater that I can take drifting and around town if I wanted to. I was looking at a rb25det but I just don't know if it is a good upgrade for the price. That and you can swap just about anything into a 240sx.
