Hi guys, this is a sort of follow-up to the existing thread regarding Igor. Shaun over at NRG performance just called me and they made 585.9whp on 23 lbs of boost. I'm meeting him at lunch time to get a copy of the dyno graph to scan in. I will post here when i have it scanned.

The only difference in the car is a swap in the exhaust housing on the turbo. They are using a smaller housing for better spool. The car was also tuned a little more using the Haltech computer.

On a further note, they will be going to south Georgia motorsports park tonight to make a couple passes on the car. Shaun will be driving the car tonight so I'm looking for some low 10s. Shaun went 10.50 in his own car with 545whp.

hopefully the bar will be set a little higher after tonight. Remember this is an internally stock block including stock head. no upgraded head studs or head gasket on this car. BONESTOCK short block.

From what they all changed....no. I would think that they would know. If not no big problem, just was curious, becuase I have heard that the NEO has stronger internals then the R33 RB25.

the r34 says "NEO" really big on the top of it... its actually really easy to tell.

BTW, awesome job guys! Very happy to see results like that out of the 25!!!

That is only the top cover...dust cover. Everyone takes it off, so that is really no way of telling. They should know what motor it is....well I would hope so atleast.

Keep us updated with the car, would love to hear low-mid 10's on a completly stock internal RB25.

Good luck,Zach

my server took a dump this weekend. sorry. It seems as though the car has cracked an intake manifold. It would make a max of 14psi of boost and idled at 3000rpm, even though there was no vacuum leaks in the hoses.

Sorry to hear about the 25, I hope the engine survives :)

On another note, why didnt you listen to Vin Diesel mang??!! You know the welds on the intake manifold are the first to go. :P

nothing wrong with the motor, just the manifold.

which is much better than something with the motor! i saw an intake manifold on ebay a few days ago for like 20$ ...

not a manifold like this one. This is a custom built manifold for the RB. But fortunately, it will not cost anything to fix.

Why does everyone have a hard-on for max "stock block" power?! Does anyone ever build their motors any more? In fact, stock block must be soooooo good that I am sure people with complete race engines are upgrading to "stock block" so they can make so much more power. Still awesome dyno numbers. Stock head bolts and gasket? It's only a matter of time before this one blows.

people love to test the limits of things... i too believe its only a matter of time before it blows, but when it does, then they will know what the limit is. So then they can build the internals up ya know?

i just think it is cool. if you find out that 610rwhp is the theoretical limit before something gives out, then i can safely run 500whp without worrying to much. anyways, a lot of it has to do with the tune. you can have an rb making 400whp that is not tuned well blow up before an rb making 585 and tuned very well.

so, so true.. I also would like to get an idea of what the rb series motors can handle stock, because who wants to build their motor if they dont have to... Its not like I have 2k+ just burning a hole in my pants :)
