well, i've got off my ars and worked on ole black beauty, got her running again finally . i've got a few issues though..

alright, well this time i made damn sure to get the cam timing dead on, and plopped the dist. in where the #1 plug is facing the groove on the dist. all at TDC and i made sure the piston was up. well, after cranking it up for a few minutes, it finally decided to come to an idle.

couldn't give it throttle, the rpms would actually just drop, and the engine would die. first thought is the dist. timing. but another thing that could possibly be an issue is the 3 vacuum lines in between the top and lower halves of the intake manifold, by the firewall. i wish i had pics but.. anyway there are 3 hard lines coming from somewhere going into the egr area, connected by vacuum lines, there all side by side and my pops put them on so i'm not sure if they're correct. i dont know what they go to, maybe something to do with fuel??

now my o2 sensor may have gotten wet from the humidity, would that cause any problems?

i know i've got fuel, and i've got spark, so it's gotta be the timing, mechanically i would bet my left nut it's all like it should be.

one more thing, i need a timing light, what works for you guys? autozone's got a $40 inductive TL, a $100 digital TL, and a $200 TL. i've never used one myself but i know i need one
