I figured it's time to start documenting the install of a carbon fiber splitter on my stock bumper.

The hardware I've put together so far from Home Depot; I've got 35mm for the sides that fit flush and 40mm/45mm for the middle section with some spacers to account for the gap in the front rather than trim the bottom of my bumper and flex the splitter too much. I'm using some large washers for added support and to distribute the load along with some neoprene washers to cushion the carbon fiber. Might be a little overkill but meh.
8 bolts total-35mmx4 on the sides, 40mmx2 for the middle and 45mmx2 between the middle and sides. All fit in stock locations. 3/4" spacers on the 4 front bolts to keep keep a nice straight front edge and not bend the splitter. I also wrapper the spacers in carbon fiber vinyl to match the splitter.

The test fits looked promising but some trimming to the rear corners of the splitter will be required because it would stick out too far for my taste.

With the splitter masked off to protect it I was able to align and drill the stock bolt locations. I could drill 2 more but I think 8 is sufficient.

More test fitting coming along well.

Final fitting with 3/4" spacers on the 4 front bolts. Looks like it's ready for clear coat.

Finally done.

Wow that awesome! More details on the carbon fiber front splitter. Also how are the bolts held in place? I see that you went into details about the bolts, washers, and the neoprene washers, but are using a nut to hold them in place?

Waaay BOSS!! I want one for my ride - I think Moonlight White Pearl is a really good color combined with carbon fiber, BUT I might be biased!!

Did you use the splitter for a Q50? and did you just dremel off the extra that was sticking into the wheel well??

Straight line cut with a hacksaw to remove the extra. Yeah the splitter is from a Q50.

Wideopn11/rest of the group

I noticed you have the non sport front end - do you think this splitter should fit a sport version front bumper?? I don't mind doing a little trimming and drilling.

I hate to pull the trigger on this and have it not fit, but the Access Evolution one (which I really want, is waaaay too rich for me) - it would be almost $2000 with shipping. I wished I lived in California or JAPAN lol.

See: myjapandirect.com/product/access-evolution-front-lip-spoiler-frp-for-Nissan-fuga-y51/

What do you all think? Go for it??

Yeah it will fit the sport bumper, dimensions are almost identical. You will need to do some custom fitting and trimming but it really wasn't that much work. The Access Evolution is nice as hell but so expensive.

Here is the splitter I purchased. https://www.outcastgarage.com/products/ ... litter-q50
I thought I included more measurements but maybe in a different thread. I'll have to dig around.

I don't think this design would look right with the aero bumper but size wise it should with custom trimming and fitment.
