Hi, it seems like everyone here is always comming asking for best injectors and cheapest price or what ECU do you need, or how much are custom headers as apposed to hotshots or something like that. So I say we as a community put together a list of parts that are needed, including every single nut and bolt and oil and fuel line, and parts that arn't 100% required, but some may or may not use, such as a water-air intercooler or a bang bang system and things like that; and more importantly, where to get them (Atleast one place, the least expensive) and the price. I have already emailed WDRacing and he said he would be willing to sticky up a final list in a new thread. Everyone's participation would be greatly appreciated, and I'm sure it would be invaluable to many newbies here, or just people looking to turbo thier first car and don't want to spend 4.5k for a stage 1 turbo kit that will only take them to 6psi when you could builf it for atleast a thousand less.

I have started the list seeing as I was going to use it just for my personal turbo project which I have planned for sometime in the next 12 months (never too early to plan). Here it goes, and please if anyone knows any better parts, places to get them for less, or anything, please post, if you could, make up a list of items yourself, if everyone just gave 3 or 4 good submissions the list would be complete in no time. Thank in advance.

Turbo and all that:

Garrett T3/T04E Turibe (most trims, stage 3 wheel, many A/F ratios, can be upgraded to stage 5 wheel (price includes 360 degree thrust bearing upgrade)) - $625 http://www.cheapturbos.com

Tial 35mm Wastegate - $230 http://www.cheapturbos.com

35mm Wastegate Flange - $22 http://www.cheapturbos.com

T3 Turbine Inlet Flange - $33 http://www.cheapturbos.com

Greddy Universal BOV - $215 http://www.srswap.com

Exhaust and Components:

3" Custom made exhaust - I am assuming about $350 (Top price I was told from a friend who is having one made soon at a local shop in town, shouldn't be too much more across the country - again, please inform me)

3" High flow Catco Cat - 139 + ship http://www.srswap.com

Custom Downpipe - shooting high at $100 (custom shop)

Customs headers from someplace - $250

Hotshot headers - $400

Fuel Management:

Walbro 225 lph fuel pump - $105450cc injectors - ?????JWT ECU - ?????Piggybacks - ???

Still needed : Intercooler (all components - one or 2 good kits would be nice since i believe there are many parts to this)Forged internals including: pistons and connecting rodsClutches

Thank you all again that will help out with this project, a little bit of time now will save us all alot later.

good idea for the post man, Ill see if I can put something together to add... but damn- hotshot headers? why does everyone make this mistake?! you need an EXHAUST MANAFOLD to hook the turbo to!! You CANNOT just buy some aftermarket header like you're doing an NA project (unless you wanna do some bogus hacked deal...).

I think I've seen cheaper prices on these items around as well... Gotta do more research.

Hey toki,I think this is a great idea. I'll try to add some info about injectors (sizes available, other OEM injectors that will fit a KA, etc)

Yeah, like fitnaz said, you don't want to halfass the exhaust manifold. Definitly go with a DC header. LOL

j/k but you got a good idea, but in the heat of a custom turbo installation, its hard to stop what you're doing and write everything down. Its gonna be hard to figure out exactly what intercooler piping and stuff you need cuz a lot of bends are gonna have to be cut/recut to get the right angles and stuff.

If you are doing a cheap kit, why not go with an internal wastegate? To save a couple bucks, im gonna start with internal wastegate, then get a tial later. (i get welding done for cheap)

Try this site, I've gotten alot of stuff from them:

http://www.roadraceengineering...s.htm

They used to have 35mm for $210, but now it looks like they only carry 38mm for $230, so I would go with this over the 35mm. 3" HF cat is $99 from there too. Also the steel wastegate flanges are $8, $22 is outrageous.

Also their Type S BOV is $200.

Intercoolers: Road race has really goo prices, the only better I have found is eBay for the Spearco cores. Obviously you have to make your own piping though, that's what jcwhitney.com is for. :)

Go to groupbuycenter.com for some REALLY good deals. 35mm Tials for $195 SHIPPED occasionally, Greddy BOVs for $170 or under and other deals on clutches, flywheels and exhausts. They are mostly Honda oriented however.

Can someone provide where to get the oil lines cheapest?

Try jgstools for oil feed/return and flanges. Try turbocomponents for turbo parts.

a cookie cutter turbo parts list is like teaching a kid how to build a bomb, but not teaching him how to not blow himself up...

all the info is already here, posted, and accessable. theres a few routes actually. people should take the time to read them all, and choose which one is best. its kinda a "if you dont know, dont try" thing.
