Good, but I think your hp goals are a little out of the reach of your turbo, I've never heard of anyone doing 500hp on a GT28.

Seriously, its not possible. Im not trying to argue with you, just be helpful. You skipped a whole step there, you went from GT28 to GT35, look into the GT3076R, You wont be able to get 400hp out of a GT28 let alone 500 man.

very true, go with the 30 for your goals. the 28 will see a max of like 350

I don't know how much car work you've done, or how much mechanical experience you have. You seem to me like someone who's looked at car forums and thinks he's got a good idea of how to do stuff. If this is your first swap, and you want it actually to be worth while. Keep it simple. Buy an factory SR with factory everything. Only do maintenance upgrades.

99.9% of pull it out and rebuild it for x horsepower stories end with failure. Rebuilding a motor to OEM level of tolerance is not cheap or easy by any means.

Internet forum cars are normally s*** buckets in real life.

Keep your swap simple and just get the damn thing running.

Although I don't have an authentic Ebay exhaust. I have the megan, it seems to be the exact thing as an ebay (IDK). When comparing the quality of materials (stainless steel), this megan catback held up wayyy better than my ebay downpipe and ebay elbow. Both ebay products were great considering I got a 'stainless steel' 3" elbow and downpipe for 100 dollars to my house, but the flanges and hardware rusted on the ebay parts within 6 months.

The megan still shines beautifully with some love from a wash and blue magic metal polish session. AKA not a sign of rust to come.

I'm wondering if other people's ebay exhausts were a form of this low grade stainless steel my downpipe/elbow were. Please post your thoughts.

"type x" is a trim package."s13 kouki" is a model.

there is NO difference that i am aware of in motors, as the type x package was only offered on s13 koukis... as were the type s and type r.

who the hell cares tho? its a freakin s13 blacktop, thus is great.

no need to debated whether or not its from a type x, doesnt make it ANY better or worse.

op, carry on. everyone else, shush

there is a type x specific motor, there is no real difference except that it uses s14 sensors for a few things and has a different ecu. same power output as the regular black top

right, thus is no point in debating. it just requires more headache to make it work w/ s14 stuff.

i don't want to keep debating it, but the engine would come with all the sensors you need. to make it work you'd just need a type x cluster.

i can snap a pic the next time i'm over there but it won't be til sunday

Your wiring could do that. When i took out the aftermarket alarm system the person had wired it wrong and when i took it out all i heard was a click but it wouldnt turn over.
