Snow drift funs.

Keegan wearing shorts... Like always.

Snow looking like smoke.

What speedo?

Snow plow mode.

Then Keegan found a circle... Made me walk the whole way over. >:|

Then we hit up a buddy's neighborhood for about 20 minutes. On the way back the car straightened out and hit the curb really slow, and only ripped the lip off of the driver's side. Then because of the plow effect, ripped it off under the car.

Here's what it looked like at the end of the night.

Then with my car... Obviously not running. :|

Dang Keegan, you guys had a little more fun and snow then we did. I'm a wuss, I dont think I can make it anywhere around here, its all hills, and no hidden lots either, all covered by cops. I'm gunna assume the lip went right into the back of the car, and is prolly still there?

Nice snow session! I havn't had any good ones here in ohio yet. I hope I can get a good one this weekend with my buddy in his s13 coupe.

But I was wondering what headlights you have. I HATE my stockers, and I couldn't find anything in your build thread.

And one more thing that was bothering me, that one alignment guy is crazy. You cant set different toe in the front to compensate for crown in the road. When you drive the front will automatically equalize toe in the front so that just made your steering wheel off. That's castor's job, but even then dead even castor>all. Whats your current tires and alignment specs? I'm having really good results with stock toe front 3deg camber front, stock toe rear and 2.5deg camber rear.

lol sorry about the rant, but I'm a hunter certified alignment tech.

that was bumnah talking about the alignment/toe/caster stuff.

im with you. alignment should be equal all around.

im currently:

-2.5* camber front-2* camber rear

0 toe front0 toe rear

8* caster up frontRear caster is setup to center the wheel in the well.

headlights are from "carparthookup" on zilvia. cheap, awesome lights.HID's are from "HIDGate" on ebay. he is a vendor on a lot of forums, but ebay is the simplest way to reach him.

nice. im jealous of your dialed alignment. ive been messing around with camber, and attempting to half a** zero out my toe, but i really need to just find a good alignment place.

cool. so 5th gear has OFFICIALLY opted out of being a part of my motorcoach. no rhyme or reason. had 5th gear two days ago. its not like the KA has massive torque to mess up 5th gear. its not like you can bomb it into 5th.

but yeah. gas mileage is right out the effing window right now. 5th feels like theres just no syncro teeth, but not like they are ground off or anything, just feels like NOTHING. feels locked out of that gear.

1,2,3,4,R all work fine.

soooo

prolly gonna drop the trans once warmer weather hits, swap the bellhousing onto my SR trans, and throw that in.

HOORAY, i f***ing love trans work!!!!!!!!

not.

that is all.

a good alignment guy/shop is priceless dude. the car feels SO much better with a legit laser alignment. just crisp feeling.

youll pay a good bit usually, but you gotta pay to play with adjustable susp parts

never heard of an s13 trans doing what yours did, but its VERY common for nx's. the same thing happened to mine, and of course the nx has even less torque and power so there isnt necessarily a logical reason for it to go

We all know you do rad nasty snow burnouts in 5th gear, hence why that gear is now broken.

But yes snow drifting FTW. Last weekend I was owning on-ramps and off-ramps, until ice locked up my e-fans.

I foresee greatness in the power department, I'm looking forward to your engine buildup.

yeah, the stock KA does radtron8000 5th gear smoky burnouts. doesnt even need snow. i love it for that.

get ready for this snow b**** about to hit us.

thank you sir. i aim to please. it will be a thorough but SIMPLE build, emphasis placed on efficiency vs dyno sheets, eliminating redundant setups (pcv), and an OCD attention to detail for the motor itself, without spending exorbitant amounts of money on things that offer minimal gains. im tired of dropping money into this thing, but i love it nonetheless, and the motor is the LAST piece of the puzzle besides MOAR AERO. yeah, expect some of that popping up soon too.

i said 1/2 degree of difference in caster, not camber.

if i wrote camber, it was a type-o.

Good thing MGE dailys his car 99.9999% of the time.

Still even a 1/2deg castor split is pointless, the only time it wont pull is on highways in the slow lane, or fast lane depending on what its set for. I prefer even stress on my LCA's (since the tension rods pull on them) and even camber roll for even handling.

MGE- at least your trans still works. My buddy and I rebuilt a sohc and 3K miles of insane abuse later it snapped the output shaft while we were cruising on the highway. The trans did have 186K on it but still, you'd think after 3K worth of clutch kicks, power shifts, and burnouts it would fail then.
