I shared these with the altima board but I thought I would go for a more broad opinion as well. This is my project Altima. I started out like everyone else and riced it up a lil but I have since become obsessed with tuning the suspension. The suspension project has been slow in the making but this is the plan. Sprint Spring drop 2", working on matching up a set of KYB AAGX's right now(AGX's are not made directly for the altima so I must assimilate them from another model), ST rear sway bar, Heim joint links, FSTB and Energy Suspension Polyurethane sway bar control arm bushings. So far the drop is done and the bushings are nearing completeion. Engine mods are the next phase.

As the 97 altima has good torque it still drives kind of pig like. With little aftermarket backing finding parts is difficult for the altima. Most of the stuff we do has to be made or assimilated from other models. Engine mods are rare even though it has the 240's KA24DE. It's FWD nature make it so most 240 mods will not crossover to the altimas KA24DE. The only mods I have done at this time are a WAI, Magnaflow exhaust and I am having a test pipe being made for me at this time. I will be modding this soon enough but I really went for handling first as I love a car that handles well. I love curves!!

Exterior mods are being kept to a minimum and will probably stay the way they are now. The cheesy mods are in their of course cuz it wouldnt be fun without a little rice in there. Ok I have rebadged the car a Bluebird after it's Japanese counterpart. It may not be a real Bluebird SSS but who cares, do half the people driving even care? I imported all these parts directly from a junk yard in New Zealand. I imported the power folding mirrors off of a Bluebird SSS. The mirrors automatically fold in against the car when I turn the car off. Thats rice! I also have the badges "Bluebird" and "SSS" on my trunk. Also I replaced the trunk lock with one off of the elusive Bluebird SSS Atessa SR20det AWD with LSD. <<<I want one so bad!! I have since these pics removed the side molding. I also installed a ViS CF Hood which weighs near nothing. I have replaced the 97 3 slats grille with a honeycomb one from 93, I plan on filling the honey comb though. GTS shades which only a few people like but it's part of the future paint plans. Coming soon: OEM 2 post spoiler and Stillen front lip. Nothing much in the way of exterior mods though.

Transmission mods at this time are only an external oil cooler purchased from pepboys. transmission temp gauge and VB upgrade might be done if the car proves to me to hold up.

The interior is stock and will be lessened as I make the car more race ready. So with out further bull**** from me I give you the pics of the car. More pics coming soon.

Cool! I wanna here more of your porject as you do it. Any posiblities of swaping the bluebird SR20 in the and converting to FWD with a sentra transmission or something?

You forgot to add the Spec V wheels and the aftermarket muffler to the list of mods.

I like your car and I say keep going on with it as planned.

i love the altima. You should turbo the KA and get a new transaxle with lsd
