Nice. I see they aren't on a budget, spending $750 for front brake upgrade.

I used heat gun to correct that piece, but it didn't work. I thought screws would look ugly, so I left it alone. That's one of many 240 vert design/material flaw.

I'm probably gonna have to use screws on the door insert. Think S13 verts definately have the worst 'falling apart' interior problems of any nissan.

My interior isn't all that bad...I mean nothing serious to the point that everything is falling apart.

The only eyesores I have are:visors that look like a dog chewed on them cracked center consolesome tears in the seats and carpetingscratches on the steering wheel

surprisingly my dashboard is immaculate...I heard from others how their dash cracks and such...only problem is that it collects dust.

my dash is in great shape too. and all in all, the interior isn't too bad on mine. The cloth inserts on all 4 of teh panels have been reclothed and restapled in, the plastic warping in the rear isn't TOO bad, but could be better. I think trademotion websites have that piece back in the catalogue, so if you feel like dumping a few hundred to fix that eyesore, you could.

the main eyesores in my car is the carpet and the ugly *** tweed backseat. The driver seat has a small rip in the leather, but I'm not too concerned with it for the time being. And thankfully my POS driver side door panel is getting replaced with some good quality non vert doors in the near future.

I want to replace my doors also (such a pain to enter/exit...doors are really heavy)...what do you think of carbon fiber doors? I know they are expensive and all but do you think they're worth it?

I've known about this project for a few months now.

They ripped us off on their data for the write-up.. They use the production figures that we (Mr. Foully) were able to dig up after much hard work!

$750 for front brakes??? You can get an entire Z32 setup for a bit less than that..

I'm not a fan of their project.. But, I do like added exposure for 'verts.

We should send them a 240sxconvertible.com sticker to put on it.

Too bad Kojima's got an inferiority complex... If he'd only ask.. I'm sure we could really help him out with some cool ideas..

oh well.

Not ENTIRELY the case, I actually have a TON of respect for the owner, he's kinda one of my heroes.

I just have a hard time comprehending how one can purport to do a 240 vert build without the involvement of 240sxConvertible.com (as well as the choice of cars).

On the plus side, we're #1 for "240sx Convertible" on web searches, and I'm seeing lots of external links heading our way.

We DO need to ramp up our efforts on completing the Vert Registry...

Well...later on I just might do that...just wanted to see what other vert members thought of the idea. Vert doors are kinda heavy and it's a real hassle to enter/exit (when I open the door it likes coming back my way so I have to push it out again) so I want something nice and light.

Besides...those door pillars...

carbon fiber doors are too expensive IMO. just swap on coupe/fastback doors and be happy with that.

I'm seriously thinking of going carbon fiber on the entire car!

Yeah, it's more expensive... But, you don't have to paint it. The only panels you can't get right now are the rear quarters.. everything else is available in CF.

*edit... just looked at that link... HOLY HELL That's expensive!

you can get VIS on ebay for $1200.. But I thought I remembered them being like $700 or so.

well so much for CF.. that sort of blows my financial theory out the window.. plus I already have coupe doors sitting in my garage...

speaking of painting carbon fiber...

Did you know that its the "it" thing to paint over cf panels? I guess...since it's a jdm traditional to keep things clean...and not expose too much. Although, I like the idea in concept...since it's def better to be a sleeper...but ****..

I kinda like the bling bling factor when peeps see a cf hood....the raciness it brings..etc. Besides, why add extra weight? Eh...anyways..I was just commenting...
