When I picked up my Murano a few weeks ago, they had misplaced one of the clickers. They gave me a new one but accidentally gave me one without the rear door button. But they programmed the two I had and went on my way. I didn't notice that the extra one they gave me did not have the rear door button until this week, and when I called them they said to stop by and they would give the right one.

When I got there no one was there (from sales) but they had left the new one at the front desk. Unfortunately the one they left for me does not work, supposedly because when you program the remotes you have to do the all at the same time, and the guy at the service department said that to get the new one to work it would take about an hour and I would have to leave it with them.

Anyone know if this is true? I guess I should believe the service guy, but without a loaner (one benefit if I had bought the FX instead), sitting around for an hour is kind of a pain.

I believe that the keys must be programmed via the CONSULT-III system at the dealership, and aren't user programmable.
