I have programed my Maxima keyless remote. My horn will not sound when the panic button is depressed. Also, can I make the horn sound when the car is locked or unlocked. Please help if anyone has any ideas. Thanks, Michael

Yeah, the 4th gen Maxima remotes do not "beep" the horn when you lock / unlock. You would have to add a module like the one linked from vqpower.

As for the panic not working, do you have the correct remote?

4th gen Maximas have two types of remotes (that I know of).

The bottom left button has two variations.

Type 1: Panic (as shown in picture) ; push it and the panic alarm sounds

Type 2: Room lamp ; push it and the room lamp can be turned on/off (presumably to see if there is anyone in the car, etc). For this remote, you have to hold down the LOCK (large gray button) to turn the panic on.

Unrelated but the unlock will also roll the windows down if you hold it long enough.
