You should be able to turn the option on in the AV console unit. I don't remember the specific term they used, but it should be there.

edit: looked at the manual and it's only for selective door unlock and intelligent key unlock settings.

You have to perform the methods listed below to turn off the automatic door lock.

Ask Manuel...he's so smart! He knows everything...especially manuel who is all knowing for the G37. He likes to live in your trunk....in a little black zipper pouch. He goes by the name "owner's manual".

Here's what he told me: look in chapter 3 Pre-driving checks and adjustments section 3-6 "Automatic door locks".

Now, I truly recommend looking for it yourself, as you may need this to follow the instructions. But, being the nice person I am(also being bored as hell today anyway!!), and since I already went to the garage to get my manual out of the trunk...here you go -

The automatic lock and unlock functions can be deactivated or activated independently of each other. To deactivate or activate the automatic door lock or unlock system, perform the following procedure:1. Close all doors.2. Place the ignition switch on the ON position.3. Do one of the following within 20 seconds of performing step 2: * To change AUTO UNLOCK settings: push and hold the power door lock switch to the UNLOCK position for more than 5 seconds. * To change AUTO LOCK settings: push and hold the power door lock switch to the LOCK position for more than 5 seconds. (This one is YOU!! )4. When activated, the hazard indicator will flash twice. When deactivated, the hazard indicator will flash once.5. The ignition must be placed in the OFF and ON position again between each setting change.

And there you have it - verbatim from the owners manual - (minus my little parenthesis) This should get you on the right road....now to find that section about setting your memory seats to your key fobs!!
