program/addon help needed

Basically I'm trying to download youtube videos, and convert them to mp3 files for my mp3 player. I use Firefox and the add-ons only does downloading, converting requires registration which cost money. Does anyone know any free converting programs that are good? Thanks in advance NICO, you guys always have my back. Thanks again.
