So, I just bought a Greddy Profec B (the first one) and I have no clue where to plug in the vacuum lines, haha. If anyone could give me some tips (maybe some pictures too?), that would be very much appreciated. And of course, this is on the CA18DET. Also, tuning tips are always helpful as well.

Do you have the installation manual?

The profec is a pain to setup, but it works well once it's setup.

Yeah, I looked at the manual, but I am so utterly mechanically dumb that I don't know which graph I need to follow. I believe it's the "Internal (Swing Valve) Type 1" layout that I should follow, but again, not sure.

And I looked at the vacuum lines around that region on my car, and there is already a "T" going to the wastegate and such, but the " Internal (Swing Valve) Type 1" says I can just run that whole T line into the boost solenoid? And Run the Compressor line to the solenoid as well, basically meaning the only thing I "T" is the Fuel Regulator. I'm wondering where I actually "T" into and what not and if I am looking at the right layout. Like I said, I am very illiterate with cars (this being my first project car too). I'll take pictures if I have to so maybe you guys could circle where to "T" and such, hahaha.

Ah, ok ok. It looks like this is the correct layout to use. I was searching around Google, and found that the CA actually does have a boost solenoid.

I guess I am just suppose to ditch that whole thing, run a line STRAIGHT from the wastegate, and then a line STRAIGHT from the compressor (just like the layout).

Then I can probably cap the hole that's on the intake pipe. I'll let you guys know how this works and maybe post a write-up on here for ppl who are as newb as myself.

Also, searched the internet about the air filter. Is that truly necessary?

Yea, ditch the boost control solenoid. Just cap the opening on the intake.

It is the internal swing valve setup.

Straight from compressor to valve (NO) and from valve (COM) to the wastegate.

yes you need the air filter. The MAP sensor is built into the circut board and if any debris were to make it up to the sensor, the whole thing would be fubar'd.
