well i have read just about every post on the profec b II and still am having problems. please help me. I am seting everything up just like i have read to leaving the gain at 10% seting the set at everything from 10 to 90 % and my set gain (start boost) is set at 90. I am only trying to get 10 psi. I have a pritty much stock set up. Gready intake, 3" pipe all the way back, fuel pump, and my profec b. The most boost i have been able to get is 8.8 psi and it was at night when it was a little bit cooler out. other than that i get 7.0-7.5 every time no matter what i have my set on. please help and thanks in advance.

List all your settings and let me look over them. Also, are you sure you used the correct openings on the electric solinoid? The hose from your intercooler piping should be hooked up to the "NO" location, and the hose to the wastegate actuator should be hooked up to the "COM" location.

i have it set at( set=35%, gain=10%, set gain=90 or 9psi, warning 130 or 13 psi, limit=4%). and i have all of the vacume hoses right NO to the intercooler and COM to the actuator and i also removed the plastic "nipple" from the NC hole. on the same set up i have turned the set to 60% and i have the exact same boost between 7 and 7.5. I know that the EBC is working in some way because when i turn it off i run about 5.5-6 psi. when it is on no matter what setting i get 7-7.5 when it is warm out and 8-8.5 when it is cooler.

Did your turbo boost more than this before the EBC? You could possibly have a weak/dying turbo, or you could have a boost leak. I had a boost leak and went from 14lbs to a max of 9, checked under the hood and found a cracked vaccume line.

I was runing the same boost before the profec. around 5.5. About the same as running with profec off. ok ill check for a vacume leak. some of the hoses looked pritty old it is possible that one has just split open.

If you can't find a vaccume leak, I'd guess turbo.

You should have been able to hit at least 7psi before the profec, as I'm pretty sure thats the stock setting on the wastegate. I'm assuming that your turbo is probably on its way out if you can't even reach the stock boost setting.

what kindof things can i look for if im looking at my turbo to tell if its on its way out. I have also been told that the actuator spring could be loose and i need to go in and tighten in up.
