In reference to my other thread about a problem im having...http://www.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=100942

Im thinking it is my profec B not being able to hold the boost because of somethin internally wrong such as the solenoid malfunctioning or something? Is it a possibility? Anyone else ever have a problem with their boost controllers?

I'm having the same problem with my profec B spec2. We couldnt figure it out on the dyno, it would get up to like 8-8.5 psi at some points but mostly around 7psi. I'm ready to get rid of it and get something basic.

I, too, am having troubles with this boost controller, and am ready to ditch it and try something new. Think I'm going to order a Blitz SBC Spec S tomorrow and see how that works out.

What do you guys think it would be? The solinoid? Have you done anything to try and make it work?

Let me know how that blitz SBC spec S turns out...might sell this one and do the same..

Greddy actually just released the Profec Type-S, which is basically a re-release of their old, good Profec B. I'll probably get this.

Bump for you guys having the same problems....

I got mine all worked out, turns out it was just the settings were a little messed, so check your settings.

An excellent tool i used to do my settings and fully understand my profec was http://www.sr20forum.com/showthread.php?t=86098

That pretty much answered all my confusion about the unit and made tuning easily. If you follow those steps like I did you shouldnt have any problems.

Got mine running a steady 10.5psi low and 14.5 ish high.

Good luck guys.

I just got mine working right. Turns out the guy that installed it forgot to remove the plastic plug on the valve unit that nothing goes to. Popped that off, problem solved.
