Does anyone know what the production numbers were for 2003 or 2004? Any search nationwide for used M45's reveals many 2003's and only a few 2004's. Were most of these vehicles leased becuase of poor sales and good lease deals and the 2004's haven't came off lease yet. Or did sales in 2004 just fall off that much which is why there was no 2005? Any insight on any of this thanks.

Welcome to NICO!

Try this for some information: zerothread/191187.

I do not have a way to distinguish between 2003 and 2004, since that data is not easily available. But, at least, you can see about how many of both these years were probably sold.

You can get production numbers from Nissan factory Web site.My research revealed 1700 2004 M45 imported. the Last Y34 came off the line in 9/04. approx 4000 2003 M45 imported. The Y34 "Gloria/Cedric" was a successful 30 yr run for Nissan. These are all over Asia ,taxis etc. the Convertible Y34 was a favorite parade Vehicle. The 2003-2204 M45 didn't sell fast because they didn't look like a Lexus. Thank GOD. These Cars well maintained low miles will become collector cars. The true Japanese GTO.

Hmmm ... can you give me some references and site info for the above 5700 number (sum of 1700 and 4000), please? I'd like to verify my numbers too ...

Because, my data in the post I made above, is based on the monthly sales press releases issued by Nissan and shows that (not including some months for which I do not have sales figures) just about 7500 were sold from Dec 2002 through Feb 2005.

Unless I am miscounting some new M figures in my total (and I don't think I am too far off there, since it is based on the press release info on monthly sales), something is not gelling!
