Production Dates and Numbers

The FAQ says, "Production ended on June 18, 1997", but the production date on mine is "9/97". Am I in contravention of the time/space continuum, and will I get in trouble for this?Also, I've looked and looked, but does anyone know the production numbers for the various years?
