Looks to be just the mount. You still need to purchase the other end. I would just go with something like this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/GREAT-CAR-DASHB ... 3f409614dc

picture doesn't show the phone holder that fastens to this 'bracket'. Nothing special about it, except that it looks like it's hard mounted between the dash trim pieces.

The reason I like this is because it is easy to reach to while drive, to make phones call via Bluetooth or to be used in such manner. If I get the sticky pad I would have to either pull the phone off of it or lean forward and by doing so I might lose focuse on my driving.... But if It doesn't work out I might have to get something else. But thanks for the info

You are right it doesn't so show the how it fastens to the bracket. It's not anything special but the placement of it is perfect to operate while driving.

I see. I actually will be a downer with this comment but I don't support reading your phones display for anything other than a quick lookup for GPS. We have a new law in place in Ontario which includes a nice $280 fine for being caught by simply having the cell phone in your hand. This also includes looking or interacting with a cell phone even if it's mounted.

Our cars interact really nicely with the new Blackberry OS 10.3 assistant and allows you to use the built-in bluetooth system to dictate to your phone while driving. For example if you enabled text to speech for your emails/text messages you can hear them when they come in. Then simply hit the voice button on your steering wheel and dictate send email or send text or reply if you're quick enough and done.

My phone stays in my pocket. Voice commands do everything I need. (Though I still find myself reaching for the phone!)

I always use HTC phones for personal use because I dislike Apple products and the things they do reduce compatibility with non-Apple devices, but this thread is about calling while driving so I'll stop myself there. My newest HTC phone works flawlessly with the bluetooth. I toss my phone into the console and leave it there whilst driving. When I enter a number into the car's memory, I add a voice tag and all I do is mash the phone button on the steering wheel and tell the lady in the glove box who to call. I have a huge fleet of Blackberrys for my employees and they work just fine with the bluetooth as well.
I'm wondering why you aren't using your bluetooth system?
