This hasn't been a problem for us... yet.

I wish there was a TSB for the constant jerking of the Gear-selector I have to do, to get the Car into Reverse, while in Garage.

It might be I'm not pushing on the Brake Pedal hard enough... or it's not adjusted properly.

It's been in once for a new Switch... but still seems to be ignorant.

Anyways back to regular programming...

Do you make sure to put on the E-brake? Try to make sure the car doesn't have a chance to roll once you put it in Park. Should only be an issue if the car is on a hill though.
