my girlfriend bought a new versa and has been bombarded with problems passenger side airbag cover replaced twice and popped up again, dome light fell out waiting for replacment, rear wiper fell off, rear armrest console fell out also waiting for replacement tire pressure warning light always on,door seals gasket came off(rear) air conditioner compressor went bad at 8000 miles replaced performance poor and noise level extreme when on high fan setting, and my favorite the horn blows when you make a sharp right hand turn... a real head tuner.. air conditiong leaked into passenger side floorboard thee second day she owned it and now smells like mold after it has sat for a day or so..excessive noise inside with the windows down esp passenger side it sounds as if the wind is going under the mirror.top that off with a strange rattle in the front suspension... the dealer has been very lacking in helping her get these problems taken care of.. has anyone had similar problems

The horn one I had at work today. The solution is a new cover on the steering wheel, because it pushes down when you turn it all the way to the right. I thought it was hilarious at first. Then they fixed it

Funny you mentioned the passenger airbag cover. The same thing happened to Edmunds long term fleet versa. I hope they fix this.

Most all of those problems have been reported by someone on this site, but you friend seems unlucky enough to have ALL of them happen to her Versa. I like many other haven't had any major problems... although I had the passenger airbag cover replaced.

My luck the TPMS and compressor will fail on my week long road trip next week.

I posted this question on another thread, but it's a big one & i think it's going to get lost...I bought my versa (sedan, s, automatic, & pp) this past Feb. About a week and a half ago the ignition switch broke. Had to have it towed to the dealership from work. They replaced the whole part, but weren't sure what exactly had gone wrong. Then, yesterday I tried to put gas in the tank but the door wouldn't open. I felt around and noticed that the cable to the latch inside the car was detached. Going to take the car to the dealer, AGAIN, tomorrow and hopefully they'll be able to fix it quick. These aren't as nasty of problems as i've heard of others having, but annoying anyway. It barely has 3000 miles on it!!! At any rate, i'm obviously annoyed... anybody else had/heard of this kind of problem?

Haven't had these problems but a similar one... just found out that the cable connected to the hood release latch is broken. I can't pop my hood. Replacement part is on order.

First... caps lock, dude.

Second... as a point of reference, 4 months ago I sold my SL 6-speed with convenience package for $12,500 with 7878 miles. They didn't even test drive it, and I kinda didn't bother mentioning its broken torque rod.
