I havnt seen much in on topic of 1st year problems the Rogue is having. So I will share what I have experienced.

1st, I was hit in a parking lot, not Nissans fault but was the first problem.

2nd, My Speedometer would get stuck after interstate drives (intermittant), sometimes would 'zero' at 25mph so that 30mph was reading was 55mph. This was never fixed at nissan, I just kept getting the "we cant reproduce this" answer from them ... three times now.

3rd, small leak in tire, caused my a nail - simple fix.

4th, while fixing 3 above, jack buckled and dropped the car, so LUCKY the tire was still on. I live in Delaware where there are no hills, and it was done in a parking lot ... contrary to what nissan believed, it just gave out. if you look at the jack you can see how cheap they are. This was replaced free of charge.

5th, Severe braking at 40-50mph, dealer told me it was because of warped rotors. This happened at about 8000 miles so I was furious that the factory rotors only lasted me that long. Started arguing at the dealer and it turned into all front end brake parts replaced and sent back to nissan.

6th, still experiencing freezing speedometer and a few nights ago the tach got stuck at 3000, would not go up when accelerated - reset and did not go away. Same answer from nissan - no fix.

7th, the stereo - tried to load a CD into dock 2 and waited for load CD message, loaded, it spit it out and made a bunch of noise and then read "temp/mech failure". Now i can not select the CD source, try to cycle thru on the steering wheel and it skips the CD source, i just get the 3 radios. Calling nissan today .......

None of these with the exception of the brake parts were very serious, but my car only has 11,000 miles and Im starting to worry that it may not make it 100,000. i still like the car, but these problems are frustrating.

Thought i would share that there are some glichy rogues out there and i hope i am the only one.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I am sorry to hear you haven't had the best experience with the Rogue. Many members here have had little if any problems.

If you feel the dealer isn't serving you well, then call Nissan USA Customer Service and/or try another dealer. If the dealer is intent on keeping your business, they should repair them.

I will comment on a few of your problems:

1) Warped brakes. Once common cause is overheating the brakes (ie. panic stop) and then sitting with the vehicle stopped with the brakes applied. This causes uneven heating/cooling of the brake rotor. I've seen this happen to many cars, including 3 of my personal vehicles. Sometimes it's unavoidable and you only have to do it once to cause damage. To prevent this, you can let the car creep slowly for 30-60 seconds after a panic stop until the brakes cool down.

2) Speedometer/tach issues: The gauge cluster is gets speed and tach signals via the CAN BUS (a computer network for cars). If it's not working, it's likely an issue with the gauge cluster or connection. IMHO the dealer should have replaced the entire gauge cluster for you.

3) Yes those jacks are pretty dangerous. They are not very stable and I deliberately keep a 12x12" piece of plywood in the trunk to provide a stable base. Unfortunately this is not just a Nissan issue. Most mfg's use the identical scissor jack design.

4) Owners of previuos Nissan's have had issues with the 6 CD changers going bad. Most of Nissan's audio systems are made by BOSE, even if they are not marked. The audio systems is covered under the basic warranty. The dealer should replace it.

So far the problem I am having is the rear sensor for the rear hatch does not sense the remote unless I have it within inches of the rear door black button...

I am also having a noise, which is either the rust on the brakes or the transmission, but after a few minutes it goes away...

The warped rotors: that's funny, not ha ha funny but interesting. I had a 96 max and a 95 titan that both had problems with the rotors. Nissan finally changed out the whole brake assembly on my titan including rotors. Interesting that they still can't seem to get it right.

Rotor warp is due tot he vendors supplying the rotors to Nissan. You can go buy cheap rotors that will warp after 10k miles or you can buy full steel rotors that do not warp at all. It also depends on driving style, those who drive city will see warping earlier than hwy drivers. I have had Chrysler, Fords, and GMs that warp months off the lots, but I have also bought cheap rotors that warp in the same amount of time while the expensive full steels are still braking smooth after 15k miles. If you are hard on your brakes, you risk warping earlier than those who baby brakes.
