Problems with the radar cruise control on my 03 Q45.

I recently purchased an 03 Infiniti Q45. The radar cruise control acts weird, and I need to know if it's normal or broken. When I go under a bridge, or it stays in the zone where it picking something up and slowing down for several seconds, it will beep and shut off like you hit the brake. Problem is it will not resume, or allow me to reset the speed until I have stopped and shut the car off. Is this normal. Can the radar function be disabled?

It also seems to get confused from time to time going from manual shift back to auto, doesn't want to up-shift, once again until I stop the car. Car only has 65K miles.

I hope I didn't make a big mistake buying an Infiniti.

I also own an '03 Q45 and never experienced the problems you described with your LCC---then again, I rarely use this feature. I have remember reading on the forum the replacing the LCC device is VERY expensive.

I personally think the quality of Infiniti's car's are mediocre in comparison to the likes of Lexus and Acura. Infiniti's seem to experience to many expensive mechanical issues within the first 5 years of ownership, and many of these issues just carry over from year to year and affect every model. It's also not like these issues are minor and inexpensive to fix! Some of the common issues you may experience with your Q45 are:

If I didn't get such a great price on my Q45....I would've gotten rid of it by now, and I bought my in 1/08.
