First, I have tried searching but now I need some help.

I have put and s13 black top into an s13. Right now I have two problems with the swap (I am sure I will have more later). Ok, after driving the car for about 5 mins I came back home to check things out. What I found was the engine was very very hot to the touch and the lines coming too and from the new radiator had no pressure (they were really easy to compress). Also the temp gauge in the dash showed dash was only about half way to the top. Was I supposed to put the KA temp sensor on the SR? If so, I didn't. I have already got air out of the coolant lines. (raised the front of the car up took off the bleed valve and poured coolant in to the radiator 'till it came out, I think this is how you do it). I don't know if what is happening is normal, obviously. The second this is a rough idle (I know this has been coverd alot already). Let me explain what is happening; When I start the car it immediately begins idling poorly but it doesn't die when I drove it pulled "hard" but would try to die when I took my foot off the pedal. So I came home and unplugged the MAF, started the car and it sounded great timing was right on (safe mode). I thought about taking off and cleaning the IACV but since it idles fine in safe mode I thought that maybe the IACV was working porperly. Next I tried adjusting the screw on top of the IACV that did nothing. I thought that maybe there was a problem with the MAF but since it works when I drive does that mean it should work at idle? I have no more ideas about what could causing this. Thanks for any help.

-Engine is suppose to be hot to the touch. -Temp gauge is suppose to be halfway-SR temp sensor = KA temp sensor-Sounds like you may have a cold start issue(iacv may need cleaning/replacing)

should there be pressure in the hoses? Should they be hard to squees when the motor heats up?

run the motor, wait a bit, open the radiator, put more fluid in. as the water pump pushes the water through the motor, the level in the radiator will drop. as soon as i started the engine, i would open the cap, and the level would be really low. and also make sure the reservoir has some coolant in it too.

Alright I worked out most of the problems with the car's idle. Now the car sometimes dies after driving when it tries to return to idle...Is this because of the blow off valve?

IF it isnt recirculated, most likely yes. If it is, then boost/vacuum leaks.
