problems with rear brakes?

i have a 1995 maixima. i recently put new rear brakes in (pads and rotors). the passenger side rear brake needed to caliper unit replaced becuase it was frozen. i put everything back together, checked brake fluid etc. but now when i drive i have to put my foot nearly all the way to the floor to make the car stop and if i stop quick the vehicle slides. any suggestions? thanks

Did you bleed the brakes after the install?

Yes, any time you open up the sealed braking system you have the possibility of air getting in and causing squishy brakes. You should bleed them as soon as you can and that will undoubtedly solve your problem. There are some bleed procedures on here for many different cars but basically it's the same process.
