problems with RB20 transmission

I have never messed around with changing out a bell housing on a rb20 transmission. is there some certain wait to do it? can someone please explain to me if i needs to be in a certain gear to get the bell housing on the transmission. please help!

Its pretty much the same on most rwd transmissions. but this has pictures and gives a good look at a trans break down.

darn i still need someone with experience in putting a rb20 bell housing together or a KA. should be about the same.
