When I get into the car and put my foot on the brake to start it, it sometimes is finicky and doesn't want to start. So I open and shut the door and sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. Eventually the car will recognize the Intelligent key is in the car and it will start.

Hmm. maybe the brake switch or the battery in the fob. Hope Poyzi or Steve would chime in and have more info. I never experienced an problems with my fob.

I know if you hold it close to the center console it might not recognize your fob. Try to keep it in yourpocket. Try different locations.

Make sure you don't store it next to your cell phone. I have heard that phones can deprogram (is that a word?) them.

I never take the fob out of my pocket and I have never had a problem. If it doesn't work for you I would bring it to the dealer.

We had a car carrier delivering a vehicle for a shipper of ours. The truck driver had laid the key fob by his cell phone. When he got to destination, the fob wouldn't start the car. He couldn't get any of the other vehicles off the carrier because he couldn't get that car to start.

Had to have the shipper FedEx the other fob to him.
