Problems with O2 sensors (QD18DE), truth?

A cousing bought a few days an Nissan Sentra 2001 QD18DE and now he tell me, that the mechanic says to him that "this car are bad, because it have 4 O2 sensor and tend to fail, if it does each sensor cost $150-$200", is this true?


what do i tell my cousing? you mistake buying that car...

I haven't heard anything like that... where are you from? Maybe they were different in your country?

I do remember reading somewhere that the QG engine has a copius amount of air sensors.

i'm from costa rica, and yes it has 4 O2 sensors

The thing is, how often is that O2 sensor problem in that kind of cars??

You should really only have to replace them maybe once in the entire car's lifespan.

If something else is wrong with your car (like you run extremely rich or something), then that frequency could go up.
