problems with music on my avic f9bt

when i have the navigational voice set to minumum (off) and i have music playing, whenever the voice would normally give directions, my music volume is decreased for a second then returns to full volume. i dont understand why it does this when i have the voice guidance volume all the way down...any ideas anyone?
