ive got an s13 with an 98 ecr33 s2 rb25det swap. i recently purchased a apex i power fc and brought it to xat racing for a proper tune, well since i got the tune from them when ever i accelerate from a stop hard or down shift at higher rpm i get crazy knock readings of up to 90 on the pfc commander,the highest it has ever gone before they tuned it was 22. martin from xat tuned it , i called him he said that it is the timing and that i need too move the solenoid on the front of the cam gear/timing belt cover to the right 1 degree, i dont know exactly how far 1 degree is so i never messed with it. but yesterday it started doing something else: if i accerate up to say 50 mph in fifth gear then let off the gas to decel, it doesnt go to 0% inj duty cyc, instead it goes down to about 1.5 or 2 % and sort of sputters and lightly backfires but if i lightly tap the gas it wil go to 0 and decel normaley*, it does not jerk the car back and forth or anything it just sputters in the exhaust and backfires a lil, i was told that this is also a prob with timing is that the case and what can i do to fix it !! thanks for the help guys i posted this in the rb forum but got no response and searching didnt pull up much usefull info.
