Replaced them with Yokohama Avids. Have been pleased so far.
No offense, but I trust my personal experience and the thousands of reviews on Tirerack.com over an employee of Goodyear. My OEM Eagle RS-A tires not only wore out quickly, but they didn't handle as well as my Yokohomas do now. The same thing happened with my old Neon. The OEM Eagles were crap compared to the Avid TRZ tires I replaced them with.Pamywyner wrote:My husband is a service manager for Goodyear and says that the Goodyear RSA's are a performance tire made for handling and they are not a high mileage tire. They are a very good all around tire. The Connecticut State Police and local police use them on their cruisers and if they were not a good tire, they wouldn't use them due to liability conditions. If you want a mileage tire, you will lose on handling. If you drive them hard, they will have accelerated wear. He has seen them go for 20,000 miles and also 50,000 miles.
He was just passing on some of his personal experience with those particular tires. He's been with them for 28 years and is ready to retire. They really treat their employees like garbage these days. He can't wait to retire ASAP! He definitely is not partial to Goodyear tires only. - just purchased some Firestones for our son! lolWAldenIV wrote:
