Problems with Fogs

I have a 2006 altima special edition. It is already pre-wired for fog lights from the factory. All you need is a switch(which my combo switch doesnt have the fog light feature) to turn them on and the actual lights themselves.

My brother has an '05 altima and he has a combo switch which has the fog light feature.

so i took his switch and placed on my car. i installed a fog light bulb and turned the them on using his combo switch on my car.(meaning it worked)after that i tried to turn on the car and my battery was drained. i started the car again by jumping it. i drove it for about an hour. i turned it off and tried to turn back on and battery was dead again.

Why is my batter being drained(it was fine before the replacement of the combo switch) ?
