Problems with electrical system

I'm having problems with some of the electircal parts in my '93 j30. None of the lights work on the front right side of the car, but the lights are not blown. Also, the steering column is starting to smoke but I don't know why and the turning signal sound keeps clicking even when the turning signal is not on. Finally, I have to to push different buttons inside the car like the inside lamp buttons to keep different lights on the outside on. Basically my electrical system is a big mess. What do I need to do to fix it?

I suggest checking your wiring system. It sounds like some wires got crossed up. Make sure that the right wires are going to the right place & that the fuses are not blown. Also make sure that everything is grounded properly. Hope this helps you out!!
