Problems with ECU

the guy who is supposed to be fixing my car has looked at the air censors, fuel pump and they both work. My car has not been able to start for almost two moths now. its very frustuating. tonight he told me that the ecu wasent making a spark or something like that, but the safc turns on when he connected the ecu back.

he metioned something about scaning the ecu or something like that to see whats really wrong. will this help?

I'm not quite sure what you mean. If you could please provide a little bit more information on what type of problems you are having, we should be able to figure something out.

basically my car died about a month ago when i was driving it. the guy who is checking it right now checked the fuel pump, the air censor, . it shouldn't be the starter because it cranks. The guy told me that the ECU fried and suppose ably he "resold it" and now the safc turns on when he hooked it back up, but the car still wont turn on.

and what i meant witht the scanner thing is that, he said something about scanning the ECU to see whats wrong. what exactly is this process?
