problems with boost

hey guys some help needed.i got erratic idle it jumps between 1200- 2000 rpms any ideas?when it does that it throws my afr all over the place mainly between 10-12.6. i also have my boost set at 15psi and it starts to sputter just before and at 15psi, is that a boost leak? i've even tried lowering the psi but it doesn't matter same result.

I used to have a z31 that had the same issue. In my case it was the tps, but can also be a bunch of things. Another thing could be a vac leak or boost leak. Use water mixed with soap to check for boost leaks

Yeah that could be a bunch of different things... What type of MAF are you using and where is it located? Do you have a boost leak detector?

no i don't at the end of the month i'm gonna get it tested. i tried the soapy water thing and couldn't find a leak. it must be a very small leak. i also think that i need to clean my iacv because the idle surges like crazy.

i found my boost leak. it was so very suttle. it was the coupler that connects to the turbo. i moved the clamp closer the end of the coupler and shazaam! i used the soapy water test and it never showed up. thank goodness for that. now i gotta clean out my iacv
