Problems with ASP pulley
Well i was putting the front of my KA back together. As i was putting on my Underdrive pulley, i notice a hair line crake in the middle, right about the spot that the crank shaft stops at. this kind of pissed me off, but i think it should hold together (lets hope), guess if it gose i will go by an Unorthodox one. just thought i would let you all know to watch out.

well it didnt look to bad, i am going to drive on it for a little while, just to see what happens. I have only had it for about 7 weeks, and its only be running on the car for about 4 weeks. i am just pore right now, with haveing to replace my timing chain because the machine shop that built my engine used ****y parts. heres hoping it lasts 2 weeks. If it where to break, could it damage my crank? and where is the best price to get the unorthodox racing UDP?
it doesn't have to break to cause problems. Crank pulleys are precision things, machined to be completely balanced. a cracked one won't be balanced, with the stress of a belt on it, you can be sure it will just open more and more. Just put the stock one back on. You should contact asp for a replacement. it won't cause damage if it breaks, but you'd be stuck where ever you are. Driving 60-70Mph on the highway and having the crank pulley break is not cool, you can cause an accident because you don't know how to manage the car without power steering (and don't say it's easy) and your brakes don't work.You'd be alot more poor then without a car to drive and someone's bill to pay.

Well i would put the old one back on but the machine shop lost mine, and wont fess up to it. anyway there are some other problems with my car still so i am going to take it to a shop this time and have them look it over to see what the hell is going on with my car. and i took out my power stearing because its leaking all over the place, so i will replace all the lines at my leasure and get a new pump when i have money for it. oh i hate my car. yeah maybe i will get in touch with ASP about it, the only problem is i would be without a car while i ship the old one to them, and wait for the new one to come.
