problems with a Maxima 98

I have problems with my maxima, when im dirving, occasionaly presents a failure, that failure consists in low RPM, sometimes its so low that turn off the engine, and trow black somoke. i check by the ECU and the mecanic toll me that have problems with the Knock Sensor, do you think that the knock sensor could by the problem?

the knock sensor does retard the timing, so this could be your problem. i would replace the sensor, clear the codes, and see what happens.

well i get off the intake and have stains of oil, i check the level of oil and ist overfilled, do you think that the knock sensor and the exces of oil could be the cause of my problem?

Yes, that's possible.Drain the excess oil as soon as you can.
