Hey guys, i have a 95 200sx SE with the ga16de motor (auto - daily driver)and i have a few problems and i was curious to know if any of u guys ran into this and may have a solution for me...

1: The passenger side window rolls up very SLOW to the point where it will just stop completely. Sometimes all i have to do is guide it up with my hand and it will just roll up fine, BUT it still goes slow....Im not sure if this is the motor going bad or the window getting off track to the point where its slowing it down until the motor just cant push anymore.

2: The odometer and tripometer do not work... We purchased this car well over 6 years ago and everything was fine till about a yr ago when both started to not quite work right... Example, for every 5 miles or so, the odom and trip would advance ONLY 1 mile, and it got to the point where BOTH stopped working.

Other than that, nothing else seems to be wrong. So if anyone can help out here and lead me to the right direction would greatly be appreciated...

Thanks in advance...

I would say the window is not tracking right if you can adjust it with your hand and it work properly. Well unfortunately for you, the 95 200sx has a electronic speed sensor. You will probably have to replace that in order to get the odometer working again.

The speedometer and rpm gauges / needles work just fine. So im not sure if that helps any....

If they are 2 totally different things, where would this speed sensor be..??

If your speedometer is working fine, than I don't think the speed sensor is going out. Could be something wrong with the cluster.

yes i know this thread is 3 yrs OLD but i was at the junk yard on friday and came across a 200sx and the dash cluster was the same as mine so i said what the heck let me grab it. Got outside and swapped it out, both odometer and tripometer started working instantly..!! I wanted to update this just in case some else ran into this issue and searched and found this thread.... it may be useful to them..
