Does anyone else have a problem shifting into first gear from neutral or second or any other gear? sometimes i have to triple clutch just to get it into gear.

Yup i have/had that problem. You will get use to it. This topic has been talked about previously. Dont try shifting into first while moving. I usually go to second then into first. I dont have trouble getting into second. Only suggestion is make sure you are depressing the clutch all the way. Depending on how new your car is, you may still need to break in your transmission.

It should loosen up, mine has. But next time you feel like you are half in first gear and it wont go forward lift the clutch about half an inch, way before it catches and it may pop in place.

or just shift back into neutral, release and then re-engage the clutch and then try shifting into first again... it should work

My original transmission did this and now my new transmission does it as well. When I took my car in for it's readjustment and clutch check - they said it was normal

as far as i know its just a "safety" feature so you dont accidently shift into first while your driving even at low speeds. Mine does it when im goin even like 5mph sometimes or when i do a hard stop. its annoying sometimes but id rather it do that then screw up my transmission

Maybe getting a short shifter and weighted shift knob would make it less noticable if they ever produce a short shifter!

I believe JD is right - it is a safety issue. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the sycos won't line up properly until the car is at a safe speed to engange 1st. If you really want to, you can ram it into first but in time but I wouldn't recommend it.
