Hello Forum,

My battery keeps dying, and I keep needing a jump. I baught a new battery and it wouldnt start, I than proceeded to jump the new one with the old one, and it turned on. Now I would assume it's 100% the alternator, but sometimes when I do jump the old battery I could leave the car off for 6-8 hrs, and come back and the car would run, what else could be the problem?

Thanks in advance

Im thinking the alternator as well... Sometimes if you leave the car sit for a while, it will sort of charge up enough just to turn the car over barely..

Keep that new battery, and use it when you have that alternator replaced.....

Your alternator is in the "on" position. It happened to my J. You need a new alternator. Make sure you get the Nissan one. All aftermarket alternators have a horribly short life (this board has many examples).
