Problems wiht the LED's i installed need help please

well after i installed the LED lights on my doors i found out that the lights stay very dimly on when the doors are closed/armed but not when the car is on start. I used two LED on each side each LED is 3.6v and attached 330Ohm resistor to the + side, the led's are hooked up in a series circuit

***THE RESISTOR IS 330Ohm NOT 220Ohm I tried with 220Ohm ans was the same ***

am i doing something wrong here or is this normal for the LED's the bulbs are not cheap ones bought them from radioshack $5 a piece thanksD

When the key is in the start position it shuts off power altogether.

Oh, and you definately have a problem there. Like a high resistance short to ground. Check your wiring.

..Oh, and the cheap ones are pretty much as the expensive ones. Actually, radio shack is like the mcdonalds of electronics stores. If you went to a real electronics store you would have paid mere pennies for the LEDs. You wasted your money.
