problems w/ rear wiper and rear washer

i got my 89 240sx a few months ago and the mechanic said that i needed a new rear wiper motor b/c it didn't work. but my rear washer also doesn't work so my question is; is it really the rear wiper motor that is faulty, or is there something wrong with the wiring somewhere? i took off the motor and it had good magneticsm and the gears seemed good(i dont know if that means nything though).

remove it and save weight
