problems that confuse me. SR throttle response

i have a redtop s13 sr. its been running amazing like new! but here lately acting up. only sometimes. i'll start it up and it will hop right up to idle at about 850 then drop to about 350 and almost die for like a minute, wont respond to throttle during this time, and then it will either die or hop back up. also. when i'm driving suddenly i will have no response at all. i can be at 3500rpm and floor it and it will just sit there, then suddenly come to life. these problems come randomly and very often lately. they anger me lol. i need help guys!

It sound's Maf / boost / vacuum related.

i've checked over my vacuum lines and intercooler clamps to make sure everything is good and its perfect. i think its just this junky air filter it gets dirty and clogged very quickly. i clean it as well as the maf and it goes back to normal so i think i'll just find an intake kit somewhere.any best suggestions??
