Problems starting car....

I have a 95 240sx and I am having problems getting the car to start.The other day i got my oil changed and the guy working on my car messed up my alarm and couldn't start it since it was in theft mode.Finally i got it to start...and he did check my battery and said it was good.Yesterday it happened again twice.Went out to my car and it wouldn't start so i troubleshooted the alarm system but it didn't work.Checked the battery connection...dash lights and stereo were on when key was in igni.When i turn the key it doesn't make any sound at all.I thought it could be my starter or alternator but i finally got it to start.My question is ...could it still be my starter or alternator since i finally got it to start?Also my O2 sensor and knock sensor are bad.O2 sensor was replaced less than a year ago..and the knock sensor was never replaced.this morning i did start my car...turned it back off...tried again and it didn't start the second time.please help!

it could be the starter, but not the alternator. it's job is only to charge the battery after the car is already running.since this all started after the alarm got messed with, i would suspect that it's the alarm or the starter kill relay of the alarm system causing the problem.

take it to best buy and have them look at the alarm system. also, my car 92 vert, sometimes wouldnt start right away, and it was a switch on the transmission that tells the car that its in park was a little messed up causing that. but i fixed that and now its perfect. ok hope that helps.

what did he messed up? i think you should go back there & let them pay for a proper diagnosis of what he inadvertently screwed up...

If your car is manual, check the switch by the clutch pedal.
