Engine: 1995 sr black top, eagle rods, cp pistons, new bearings and crank, freshly machined, tomei head gasket arp bolts (all) all new seals, sohc ka maf.Mods: FMIC, rs bov (new vacum lines) profec boost controller (not using it right now so it is disconnected) greedy air filter,Nismo Fpr.Problem: The engine is showing the signs of backwards fuel lines. Only runs off of ether. When running on ether it is running good. I have the fuel sending into the rail between the injectors and the fpr comming off of the front. I have set my timing using the fsm and drift.com's video. I checked for spark, it was good on all cylinders. I then pulled the rail all injectors are spraying, from 1 inch away i get a perfect half inch circle all injectors are clicking. The engine was running with all electrical working before removal and rebuild even after I lost compression on my cylinders. The one thing I changed was I shortened the harness coming out of the firewall one wire at a time to get rid of excess wire, but everything still works. If anyone has any ideas as to what could cause this please let me know (other then harness [which was brand new 500 miles ago])

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

not on the engine but I have one for testing purposes that I can install inline if needed. The engine ran with the fpr set the way it is originally at about 38psi under vacum if i remember correctly. I will check it tomorrow after work. I am going to be changing my t.b gasket and upgradeing some intercooler clamps tomorrow.

Just so people know, I forgot that the nismo fpr IS directional, it runs, needs a little timing adjustment and to replace my throttle body gasket. I was talking with my buddy Dennis (moulton712) and he suggested the fix.

You are my god for the day, I neeeded outside opinions. Jeezas himself almost couldn't stop me from blameing my harness!
