ok, well i tried searching but to no avail i couldnt find what i needed. i have a 92 240 with the ka24. it cranks up fine but it idles at 1500 rpm and idles kind of rough. the motor was just rebuilt and all the vacuum lines are ok. i pulled one of the plugs out to see about timing and it was soaked in gas. i even drove it down the road and it kept hesitating/surging. i really would like to know what is wrong.thanks guys, brandon

ok.. well i just cleaned the iacv and put it back on. the car would crankl up and run but it eventually died. couldn't check the timing because the car wouldnt crank back up after it shut off. there was a strong smell of gas.

well i dont really know what kid of light that is. but i actually got the car running somewhat ok and the timing is set at stock. the problem is that the car doesnt want to run unless the idle is set at around 1200-1500. alos after the car sits for a while it doesnt want to run good anymore. the motor also shakes when at idle. its really getting frustrating.

this is the same thing my car is doing. have you checked your injectors with a noid light? check them first and then your mafs and tps sensor.
