problems in general

I just bought a 84 720 with the z24 motor and the thermostat was stujck closed so i replaced it and now I can not get the truck to heat up it will not get over 132degrees so I cant get heat or anything i let it run for over an hour and it still will not heat up. I also am missing alot of vaccum lines and there are some wires that have been cut or are unplugged and the cluster is messed up the tach doesnt work and i can't get any tail lights. Dont get me wrong the truck runs great except the carb needs to be rebuilt but other than that i love it i just want to get it back to where everything or mostly everything works. If any one has some advice or any help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks yall

what temp. does your thermostat open at?
vacuum line is dirt cheap.. go get some
Where are the wires that are cut.. engine bay or interior
Pull your tail lights.. check to see if you're getting power

Thermostat is 180 and the wires are both

that's weird it won't get to running temp..i would just put some close to boiling temp water in the rad and see if it maintains the temp.

Electrical is an annoyance but you gotta either A. get wire diagrams for vehicle and match color codes or B. just follow the wire and see where it goes.

Haynes has a repair manual for your truck and it does include a wiring diagram. If you need more specifics I do have an 85 manual which will work on your truck.
